— Our Approach
We Practice Business Design. Not Just Branding.
A regular branding agency gives you a logo and a campaign. A management consultancy gives you a strategy and a financial model. Soulsight Africa sits in between — we design both the offering and the organisation that delivers it.
Where traditional planning falls short
Business Design starts with a human need, not a revenue target. Where traditional planning assumes it knows the answer and builds a rigid plan, Business Design discovers the answer by testing with real people first — then builds the business model around what actually works.Business Design starts with a human need, not a revenue target. Where traditional planning assumes it knows the answer and builds a rigid plan, Business Design discovers the answer by testing with real people first — then builds the business model around what actually works.
The result is a strategy that is both customer-validated and operationally grounded — not a plan that sounds right in a boardroom but fails in the market.
— The three pillars we balance
Desirability
Do customers want what we're offering?
We use experience innovation to build human-centred experiences that captivate customers.
Feasibility
Can the business build and deliver it?
We validate desirability, feasibility and viability at every step, not just at the start.
Viability
Can the business make money from it?
We bring marketing excellence through pricing, operating model design and demand marketing.
Every product development engagement moves through seven stages — with internal branding designed alongside the business at every step, not bolted on afterward.
— Our Product Development Process
Seven stages. One integrated journey.
From uncovering the insight to launching in-market — every stage is designed to close the gap between what the brand promises and what the organisation delivers.
Discover
We research customer needs and business capabilities, and assess where employee brand orientation and culture alignment gaps already exist — mapping them against the new product idea from the start.
Prototype Development & Testing
We build simple, testable versions of the solution — validating desirability, feasibility and viability — while simultaneously designing the employee behaviours, training and internal communication the new product will require.
Business Model
Only when the solution is validated do we build the Portfolio, Financial and Operational plan — including budget for the internal product orientation programmes that will bring the product idea to life inside the organisation.
Branding & Packaging
The product is developed into a brand with appropriate packaging design and testing — including Product Brand Vision, Naming, Packaging Design and all other inputs required to ensure sustainable competitive advantage.
Internal Orientation
This stage gives the team that will deliver the product all the knowledge they require to drive success — not a memo, but a designed orientation programme that embeds the product into the culture.
Test Marketing
Once internal orientation is complete, the product launches in controlled environments to confirm all marketing mix hypotheses and make refinements where necessary before a full market rollout.
Market Launch
With internal alignment confirmed and market hypotheses validated, we execute a full market launch — with the systems, people and processes already in place to deliver on the brand promise from day one.
